
UL Women To Face Georgia St. – Inside The Numbers
Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun women’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday, when coach Garry Brodhead’s squad travels to Atlanta, Georgia to take on the Georgia St. Panthers in a Sun Belt Conference affair.
Tipoff time is set for 11 am.

The game will mark the opening game of a men’s/women’s doubleheader, with the UL men taking on Georgia St. later in the day.
The game also marks the final game of a four-game road trip for the Cajuns, who return home on January 21, against South Alabama
Louisiana, who defeated Georgia Southern, 56-39, on Thursday, is 11-3 on the season, including a 4-1 Sun Belt Conference mark, while Georgia St., who beat ULM on Thursday, 65-52, will enter the match-up with an overall record of 7-7, along with a 2-3 conference mark.
The Cajuns are outscoring the opposition, 66.4/55.4, and outshooting them from the floor, 42%/39%, while also holding down a slim 36.1/35.4 rebound advantage.
Louisiana is led by senior guard Keke Veal, who is averaging 16.1 points, to go along with 2.8 rebounds-per-game.
UL also features junior guard Jaylyn Gordon, who is averaging 13.8 points and 4.2 rebounds a contest.
Georgia St. is being outscored by the opposition, 71.4/70.5, and being outshot by opponents, 40%/40%, while holding down a 41.1/40.3 rebounding advantage.
The Panthers are led by sophomore guard Makeba Ponder, who is averaging 13.0 points and 2.0 rebounds a contest.
