Ragin’ Cajuns Announce Back to Blackham Concert Celebration
(LAFAYETTE, LA) - Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Men’s Basketball will introduce its 2026-27 team during “Back to Blackham” on Friday, September 25, at Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette. The basketball and concert celebration includes player introductions, skills competitions, an intra-squad scrimmage and performances by Coteau Grove, Cupid and Lil’ Nathan. Tickets start at $30.

The Ragin’ Cajuns are launching the new basketball season the way we like to do things here in Acadiana, with live music and a reason to get together. “Back to Blackham” will give fans their first look at the 2026-27 Louisiana roster several weeks before the Cajuns play their season opener.
Back to Blackham Schedule at Blackham Coliseum
Doors at Blackham Coliseum will open at 6 p.m., followed by a performance from Coteau Grove beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Ragin’ Cajuns will then introduce the 2026-27 team and hold several basketball competitions and activities, including:
* Skills competitions
* A 3-point shooting contest
* A half-court shooting challenge
* An intra-squad scrimmage
Louisiana Athletics has not announced exact start times for each basketball activity or the night’s final two performances.
Cupid and Lil’ Nathan Will Close Out the Celebration

After the basketball portion of the event, Cupid and Lil’ Nathan will take over the entertainment. Pairing both performers with the introduction of a new Ragin’ Cajuns roster gives fans more than a traditional preseason scrimmage. It turns the first look at the team into a full Friday night event.
Premium Seating and VIP Tables Are Available
Fans that may want an upgraded experience can buy premium seating packages. Available options include court-side seats and 10-person VIP tables set up around the coaching staff. The VIP table packages also include catered meals and premium seating.
Louisiana Athletics did not include individual prices for those premium packages in its initial announcement.
How Much Are Back to Blackham Tickets?
Tickets for “Back to Blackham” start at $30 and are available through RaginCajuns.com.
Fans can also purchase season tickets for the 2026-27 Louisiana men’s basketball season online or by calling the Louisiana Athletics Ticket Office at (337) 482-GoUL, or (337) 482-4685.
When Does the Ragin’ Cajuns Basketball Season Begin?
“Back to Blackham” serves as the public introduction to the new team, but Louisiana’s regular-season schedule begins Monday, November 2.
The Cajuns will host Akron at the Cajundome in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. The 2026-27 non-conference home schedule also includes Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Southern University at New Orleans, Louisiana Christian, McNeese and Houston Christian.
Mark September 25 on the calendar, grab some friends and get to Blackham early enough to catch Coteau Grove. It should be a very Acadiana way to welcome the Ragin’ Cajuns back for another basketball season.
