The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have been in need of some playmaking quarterback ability over the years, sure they've had guys who can play with some decent consistency but have lacked that big play ability. Well, they may have just found it in a guy named Brayden Hawkins.

Hawkins began his college football career at UTEP and also spent some time at the University of Maryland as a blueshirt. When he originally signed with UTEP back in 2018 he left before the season got going due to a change of system and ended up transferring to Maryland as said blueshirt last season.

The Charlotte native was on hand for the UL Spring Football Game and then back shortly after for his official visit and he couldn't have been more impressed. He told me, "I loved my visit at ULL of all my visits I walked away from there with loving everything about it"

He's currently enrolled at Northwest Mississippi Community College but will be officially transferring to Louisiana where he's unsure if he'll be eligible to play this coming season. However, it should be fun to watch this kid play, here's some behind the scene's footage from Josh Lemoine on Brayden Hawkins:
