Surprise! Alabama Preseason #1

The USA Today preseason poll is out, and, as expected, Alabama is an overwhelming choice

as the nation's top team.

The Crimson Tide received 58 of 62 first place votes to easily outdistance #2 Ohio State.  The Buckeyes received three first place votes.  Number six Texas A&M got the other first ballot nod.

Despite having a new head coach, Oregon is ranked third, just ahead of conference rival Stanford.  Georgia, A&M and South Carolina are 5-6-7, followed by Clemson, Louisville and Florida.  LSU is the sixth SEC school in the poll, checking in at #13.
