Louisiana baseball coach Tony Robichaux will serve a two game suspension following his ejection in Sunday's game vs. Wright State.

The suspension is NCAA mandated and has nothing to do with Sun Belt Conference policy.

The penalty is a result of a violation which states:

"No team personnel may continue to argue or to excessively express themselves with prolonged actions or offensive language after an ejection."

"PENALTY:  An additional two game suspension.  (NCAA Rule 5, Section 15.4)

Robichaux was ejected after a batted ball by OF Daniel Lahare was called a home run by the first base umpire, but then overturned after conferring with the rest of the crew.  Replays showed the original home run call was correct.

Robichaux will sit out Wednesday night's game with Nicholls State and Friday's game in the Shriner's College Classic against Mississippi State.
