Ragin' Cajuns Junior Defensive Back Savion Brown was supposed to meet with media about Georgia State, but he dropped a bit more knowledge.

Slow starts continue to be a rock in the shoe of the Cajuns' forward progress, and Brown couldn't help but laugh when asked if he knew the root of the issue.

"Honestly, I don't even know," Brown said. "It's kind of funny, but it's not."

Unfortunate? Yes. Frustrating? For sure. Untimely, detrimental, problematic...there's a lot of adjectives that one could choose when describing the first half starts for the Cajuns. It will certainly not be a laughing matter if the issue continues, and Brown realized it.

Thanks to a halftime speech from Otha Peters and Al Riles at halftime, the secondary pulled together against ULM and did their part to collect a rivalry victory.

"They gave us a talk, like, a brother's talk," Brown said.

The junior learned a lot in his years in vermilion and white, and he's developing into a key cog for the secondary under Defensive Coordinator Melvin Smith. Take some time to hear his thoughts on the defense and their chances against Georgia State and their talented quarterback, Nick Arbuckle.
