LSU Baseball Wins Over Lamar, 5-4 – Recap
The top-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team was victorious in non-conference action on Wednesday night, defeating the Lamar Cardinals, 5-4, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.
For the Tigers, it was their seventh-consecutive win.
Outfielder Raph Rhymes paced LSU at the plate, going 3-for-4, with a run scored, and three rbi's.
Chris Cotton (4-0) picked-up the win for LSU, with Nick Goody recording his fifth save, while Ben Coram (1-2) suffered the loss for the Cardinals.
With the win, LSU improved to 31-7 on the year, while Lamar dropped to 13-22.
