LSU Baseball Entertains Appalachian St.

The seventh-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team returns to the diamond on Friday evening, when coach Paul Mainieri's squad plays host to the Appalachian St. Mountaineers, in the opening game of a three-game, weekend, non-conference series at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The Tigers are a perfect 4-0 on the young season, while the Mountaineers come in at 2-1.

Sophomore right-hander Kevin Gausman gets the start on Friday night for LS, while Appalachian St. will counter with senior righty Seth Grant.

Game times for the series are 7 pm on Friday night, 2 pm on Saturday afternoon, and 1 o'clock on Sunday morning.
