Louisiana Ragin’ Cajun Baseball Picked To Finish 1st In West Division In Preseason Coaches Poll
Louisiana Ragin' Cajun head baseball coach Tony Robichaux is honored his team is picked as a favorite in the Sun Belt, but knows there's a lot of work to do. It's about the process.
If Louisiana does what they need to do in the "process", they'll have a good chance to finish the season where they were picked to finish today by the Sun Belt Coaches in the preseason poll.
The Ragin' Cajuns were picked to finish 1st in the Sun Belt West division, receiving 11 of the 12 first place votes.
"It's an honor to be recognized as the preseason favorite," Robichaux said in a University press release. "We have a tremendous group of young men who have committed to putting in the work both on and off the field that have led to this recognition. That said, we still have plenty that we need to accomplish in order to achieve our goals."
It's the third consecutive year the Cajuns have been picked to win the West.
Coastal Carolina received all 12 first place votes in the East division.
