Left-handed pitcher Hogan Harris, who was selected in the third round by the Oakland A's did not pitch.
Selected by Oakland with the 85th-overall selection, Harris joined Blake Trahan (84th, Reds – 2015) and Darrin Babineaux (50th, Dodgers – 1995) as the highest Cajun selections since Tony Robichaux took over the program in 1995.
A prep standout at St. Thomas More, Harris notched a 12-4 record with a 2.87 ERA in three seasons with Louisiana, including a 5-2 record with a career-best 2.62 ERA over 58.1 innings pitched last season.
Right-handed pitcher Logan Stoelke was selected in the ninth round by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the 264th overall pick.
A native of Houston, Texas, Stoelke had a nice start to his professional career, going 0-1 with a 1.59 ERA at West Virginia, in parts of two different seasons in both the New York-Penn League and Sally Atlantic League.
In 22.2 innings of work, Stoelke only allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 35 batters.
Stoelke had a standout season as a senior in 2018 for Louisiana, notching a 4-0 record and 10 saves, to go along with a 2.97 ERA.
Right-handed pitcher Nick Lee was taken six picks after Stoelke, with the 270th selection of the 9th round, by the Tampa Bay Rays.
A native of Longville, La., Lee appeared in 9 games, including two starts for the Hudson Valley Renegades in the New York-Penn League, going 1-1 with a 9.42 ERA.
In 14 innings on the bump, Lee allowed 15 earned runs on 17 hits, while striking out 12 hitters.
Lee registered a 16-12 record with three saves in 51 appearances in three seasons with Louisiana. A 2016 Freshman All-American, Lee logged 197 strikeouts in 223.0 career innings while making double-digit starts in ever year.
Left-handed pitcher Colten Schmidt was the fourth and last Cajun to be taken in the draft, selected in the 23rd round by the Colorado Rockies.
A native of La Porte, Texas, Schmidt appeared in nine games for the Boise Hawks of the Northwest League, all as a reliever, allowing 12 runs on 17 hits, over 10 innings of work.
A second team All-America selection and the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year,, Schmidt had a banner year for Louisiana in 2018, posting a 7-0 record with a league-best 2.45 ERA.
