It's week two of the college football season and I found eight pretty interesting games this weekend.  But the title is Five, so I had to eliminate three of them.

Here's what I came up with.

OHIO (+5) AT PITTSBURGH 10:00am  ACC NETWORK--Ohio is a good football team and the Cajuns visit Athens in a couple of weeks.  That makes this a game to follow if you're a Cajun fan.  A win over an ACC team would be a feather in Frank Solich's cap, not to mention the MAC, who would really use a Power 5 win.  It won't surprise me a bit if it happens.

(12) TEXAS A&M (+17') AT (1) CLEMSON  2:30  ABC --It was tough and tight in College Station last year and I'm wondering how both teams will react to that.  There's been some rhetoric between the two teams and both should be at a pretty fever pitch by the time Saturday afternoon rolls around.  That spread sure is a lot of points, but Clemson's weapons on offense are downright scary.

TULANE (+17') AT AUBURN  6:30 ESPN2--A dramatic come from behind win has tongues wagging on the plains and it's not to fire Gus Malzahn...at least not this week.  That'll change if Auburn is anything less than dominant against the Green Wave.  But Willie Fritz' team has made strides and they are better than pundits think.  Couple that with the euphoria of a big win against Oregon and you have the makings of somewhat of a trap game.  That spread looks awfully big to me.

(6) LSU at (9) TEXAS  6:30  ABC--Who would have thought when the contracts were signed for this one that both teams would be ranked in the Top Ten.  The Tigers offense looked to be in mid-season form against Georgia Southern, a better team than what the national pundits are saying.  Texas was impressive as well against Louisiana Tech.  The issue for Texas is the health of their running game.  They lost another one in game one and now have three running backs on their depth chart, only one of whom is actually a running back.  Is this the time LSU breaks the curse of never beating a top ten team in an opponent's stadium?(0-11)  Watch this space.

MIAMI (-4) AT NORTH CAROLINA 7:00 ACC NETWORK--Okay, Mack Brown, you have my attention.  I didn't think the Tar Heels stood much of a chance against South Carolina but at the end of the night, the UNC coach was so choked up he couldn't speak to the sideline reporter after the game was over.  He did, however, show some dance moves in the locker room.  It's a tougher test this week against a Miami team that was less than impressive in their first game.  But they've had two weeks to prepare for this one.  Will Mack dance again?
