The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns signed seven Junior College players during the fall signing period and all seven are having solid seasons for their respective teams.

Here's a look at what they've done so far.  Statistics are as of Wednesday, April 10th.

CONOR ANGEL--RHP--NW Florida State--After averaging 9.8 strikeouts per nine innings as a freshman, Angel has been even better this season.  The Lachine, Quebec native has made nine starts and has a 4-1 record with an ERA of 2.83 ERA.  He's averaging 11.8 K/9 inn.  His walks are a little high (28 in 35 innings) but has allowed just 19 hits in 35 innings of work.

JOSHUA COX--OF--Butler (KS) CC--Cox is the leading hitter for the Grizzlies, batting .333.  He has slugged nine homers and driven in 27 runs.  Cox carries a .397 OBP and a .634 Slugging Pct.  He has also put his speed to work, stealing 21 bases in 22 attempts.

JUSTIN GREENE--OF/3B--Arizona Western JC--Greene is listed as a Utility player and is batting .268 on the season with three homers and 43 rbi.  Greene has an on base percentage of .420 with a comparable slugging percentage.  He's stolen eight bases in nine attempts

NICK HAGEDORN--C--Jefferson (MO) College--Hagedorn is having an outstanding season for the Vikings.  He leads the club in batting average (.360) and is tied for the team lead in doubles (12) and homers (5).  He has more walks (26) than strikeouts (22) and his BA/OBP/SLUG is a solid .360/.457/.656

CONNOR KIMPLE--OF--SOUTH MOUNTAIN (AZ) JC--Signed with Oklahoma State out of HS, Kimple is hitting .372 on the season in just 21 games on the season.  Thirteen of his 29 hits have gone for extra bases.  He has a .447 OBP with a .615 SlugPct.  He has stolen 11 bases in 12 attempts.

BRANDON TALLEY--1B--Grayson CC--Talley had a monster freshman season, hitting .364 with 16 homers and 69 RBI and was named first team all-conference.  The Princeton, TX native originally signed with Louisiana Tech out of HS.

JASON NELSON--RHP--Central Arizona JC--Nelson is having a stellar season for the Vaqueros, with a 5-2 record and a 1.41 ERA.  Nelson has walked 19 and struck out 71 in 51 innings and has allowed only 27 hits on the season.  His K/9 is 12.53

All of these players, of course, are draft eligible and the Cajun coaches will be watching the draft board intently in June.
