Cajuns (Finally) Take on Georgia Southern in SBC Tournament

After waiting out the weather, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are going to play some baseball at the Sun Belt Conference Baseball Tournament.

The #4 seed Cajuns (35-20-1) take on the host school, #5 Georgia Southern (36-20) in the featured game tonight at J. I. Clements Stadium in Statesboro, GA.  Game time is scheduled for 6:30 pm CDT.  

Pregame show will begin 15 minutes prior to the first pitch on 96.5 KPEL-FM.

The Cajuns will send Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year Gunner Leger (10-2) to the mound.  He'll be opposed by left-hander Evan Challenger (2-5).  The Cajuns are 3-1 against Challenger in his career, but all have been low scoring contests.  Challenger pitched a complete game against the Cajuns on May 5th with Louisiana winning 3-0 as Leger limited the Eagles to just two hits over seven innings.

The winner advances to the semifinals to face the winner of #1 Coastal Carolina and #8 Texas State.
