The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have won the Sun Belt Conference regular season title.

They've clinched the #1 seed in the upcoming Sun Belt Tournament.

They are assured of postseason play, either in the NCAA Tournament or the NIT.

So, they'll be coasting the rest of the way, right?

No  Ask anyone connected with Bob Marlin's club and they'll tell you there are more goals to reach

Take tonight for instance.

Louisiana (25-4, 15-1 Sun Belt) hosts Arkansas State (10-19, 5-11) tonight with a chance to make school history.  Tip is scheduled for 7:15.

The Cajuns can set a new school record for wins tonight with a victory over the Red Wolves.  The Cajuns have reached 25 wins two other times in school history, the last in 1999-2000 when the Cajuns went 25-9 and advanced to the NCAA tournament after winning the Sun Belt Tournament in North Little Rock, AR.

The Cajuns will be heavy favorites to accomplish that goal tonight, taking on an Arkansas State team that has gone through suspensions and attrition under first year coach Mike Balado.  Leading scorer Deven Simms was dismissed from the team last month, and forward Tomas Bruce was sent home from a road trip for disciplinary reasons.

However, the Red Wolves have had some good wins in the league, including a win over third place Georgia Southern and fourth place ULM as well as sweeping Appalachian State.

With the dismissal of Simms, Ty Cockfield has taken over as the Red Wolves' go-to guy,  Cockfield averages nearly 15 points per game.  Veteran guard Rashad Lindsey has had good games in the past against the Cajuns and Bruce leads the inside game.

The Cajuns took an 88-78 win in Jonesboro back on December 31.  The Cajuns put five in double figures, led by Frank Bartley with 23 points.  Bryce Washington had a double double with 13 points and eleven rebounds, while Marcus Stroman nearly had a triple double with 14 points, ten assists and eight rebounds.  Lindsey led Arkansas State with 18 points.

The Cajuns will close out the regular season Saturday against Little Rock.  Seniors Bartley, Washington, Johnathan Stove, Larenz Stalcup and Jacob Broussard will be honored prior to the game.
