The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have four of their final six games at home and that starts Thursday night when they host the Texas State Bobcats.

Game time is scheduled for 7:15 and can be heard on HOT 107.9 (KHXT-FM).  Ian Auzenne will have the play by play with airtime scheduled for 6:45.

The Cajuns (21-4, 11-1 Sun Belt) bounced back after suffering their first conference loss of the season by beating Georgia Southern 102-91 to end their three game road swing with a 2-1 record.  In that game, Johnathan Stove scored a career high 28 points and in the process, became the 46th player in Ragin' Cajuns history to score 1,000 career points.

This will be the second meeting between the two schools this season.  Louisiana handed Texas State (14-12, 7-6) its worst conference loss of the season last month, beating the Bobcats in San Marcos, 80-55.  Malik Marquetti led the Cajuns in that game with 19 points, while Frank Bartley and Justin Miller tallied 14 apiece.

That is the only game the Bobcats have played in conference play decided by more than six points.  Texas State has lost four in a row, all by four points or less, the latest in an overtime 80-78 loss at UTA on Saturday.

The Cajuns hold a 1 1/2 game lead over Georgia State, who fell to ULM in overtime on Saturday, 90-82.  The Panthers play at Georgia Southern on Friday.

The Cajuns lead the all time series 10-1, with all but one of those games played since Texas State joined the Sun Belt Conference.  Coaches Bob Marlin and Danny Kaspar are well acquainted, having coached against each other in the Southland Conference at Sam Houston State and Stephen F. Austin, respectively.  The Cajuns are 5-0 against the Bobcats in Lafayette and have won three straight overall in the series.

The game will be a battle of tempo.  The Cajuns lead the league averaging nearly 85 points per game, while Texas State is among the nation's leaders in scoring defense, allowing just 62.7 points per contest.

Sophomore Nijal Pearson (Beaumont, TX) is the only double figure scorer for the Bobcats, averaging 14.3 points per game.
