The New Orleans Saints not only lost a game to the Los Angeles Rams last weekend but they also lost their leader, their captain, the straw that stirs the drink in Drew Brees to injury.

However, despite losing the game and falling to 1-1 and losing their starting QB they're still the top-ranked team in the NFC South. They ultimately fell out of the top five where they were just a week ago and that's not a surprise as they were ranked third and this week they've slid down to number nine ESPN NFL Power Rankings.

The Top Five is as so:

  1. New England Patriots (2-0), Steady at 1
  2. Kansas City Chiefs (2-0), Steady at 2
  3. Los Angeles Rams (2-0), Steady at 3
  4.  Dallas Cowboys (2-0), Up two spots from 6
  5.  Baltimore Ravens (2-0), Up three spots from 8

The Saints are obviously going to need Teddy Bridgewater to come in and help keep the teams collective head above water as well as having the players around him raise their level of play a bit.

However, outside the top five, a team that made some big moves this week was the Green Bay Packers who rose four spots in the rankings after defeating the Chicago Bears in week one and then the Vikings in week two. That's two big divisional wins to begin the season for the Pack and it seems that the extra money they spent on defense is paying off. The Packers are now ranked 6th overall.

On the other side, the Tennessee Titans who began the year with a good at face value win against the Cleveland Browns took a tough loss to the Indianapolis Colts in week two. As a result of that, they dropped down four spots in the weekly rankings from 14th to 18th.
