UL Women Fall To Middle Tennessee, 104-53 – Game Recap

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun women's basketball team suffered their fifth-consecutive defeat, falling to the Middle Tennessee, 104-53, in Sun Belt Conference action, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The Blue Raiders led it, 58-23, at the half, and never looked back, in route to the 104-53 victory.

Middle Tennessee was able to out-shoot the Cajuns from the field, 51%-42%, as well as out-rebound UL by a 47-26 advantage.

Kortni Jones led the Blue Raiders in scoring, putting in a game-high 23 points, while Icelyn Elie added 22 points, and 12 rebounds.

For Louisiana, in a losing cause, they were paced by the 14 points of Michelle Brunker, with Krystal Motley chipping in with 12.

The win the the fifth-straight for Middle Tennessee, who improved to 12-5 overall, and 4-0 in Sun Belt Conference play, while UL dropped to 5-10 overall, and 0-3 in league play.
