The 21st-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns were victorious in a Sun Belt Conference doubleheader on Saturday afternoon in Troy, Alabama.

Louisiana continued their Sun Belt Conference schedule by sweeping a doubleheader from the Troy Trojans, winning the first game, 4-2, in 11 innings, before also winning the nightcap, 8-7, both in come-from-behind fashion.

The doubleheader represented the first two games of a three-game, weekend, conference series.

The two wins improved UL's current win streak to seven games.

The twinbill sweep also guaranteed Louisiana a conference series win, and extends their league series win streak to 40-straight, dating back to 2013.

The two come-from-behind wins gives the Cajuns 10 on the season.

In the opener, Louisiana trailed, 2-0, before scoring single runs in the 5th and 6th innings to tie it.

In the top half of the 11th, Beth Ashley doubled home Lexie Comeaux with two outs to give them the lead, 3-2, before Aeriyl Mass tripled home Ashley, to make it 4-2.

That would be all UL would need, as they went on to the 2-run triumph.

Louisiana, who outhit Troy, 10-4, was paced at the plate by Alissa Dalton, who went 3-for-5, while Kelli Martinez collected two hits.

Summer Ellyson (9-3) recorded the win in the circle for the Cajuns, allowing only four hits and one earned run over 11.0 innings.

Annie Willis (7-4), suffered the loss for the Trojans, allowing 4 runs on 10 hits over 11.0 innings pitched.

The score stayed that way until the top half of the 6th inning, when Comeaux crushed a clutch two-out, 3-run homer, her third of the season, to give the Cajuns an 8-7 advantage, and the eventual one-run win.

Louisiana, who outhit Troy, 8-5, was paced at the plate by Ashley and Comeaux, who both homered, while Ashley and Brittany Rodriguez each collected two hits.

Casey Dixon (6-1) recorded the win in the circle for the Cajuns, allowing only one earned run over 4.2 innings.

Claire Graves (4-6) suffered the loss for the Trojans, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits over 4.2 innings pitched.
