Nine members of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns were named to the 2019 Sun Belt Conference softball postseason all-conference team, which was announced on Tuesday.


In addition, Louisiana garnered most of the major individual awards, as Ellyson was named Pitcher of the Year, Dalton Player of the Year, and Hudek Newcomer of the Year Honors.


The team, along with the individual award winners, were voted on by the ten head coaches in the league.

A junior right-hander, Ellyson went 34-4 during the regular season, to go along with a 0.98 ERA. and 303 strikeouts.

Ellyson finished atop the league statistical categories in wins, ERA., strikeouts, opposing batting average (.154), and innings pitched (228.1).

The Player of the Year, Dalton hit .410, to go along with 4 home runs, 47 runs scored, 38 runs batted in, and 14 stolen bases.

A junior, Dalton finished the regular season second in the league in hitting, and third in on-base percentage (.500), while also being one  of the better defensive players in the conference.

Hudek, the Newcomer of the Year, hit .355 this season, to go along with 10 homers and 38 RBI's, after transferring to Louisiana from Texas A&M.

A junior, Hudek finished the regular season tied for the conference lead in total bases (100).

A senior, Milligan hit .355 in her lone season at UL, while stealing 57 bases, new school and conference records.

Rawls, a newcomer, finished 8th in the league in hitting (.380), tied for 5th in homers (10), and 5th in walks (35), while leading the league in slugging percentage (.702), on-base percentage (.515), and runs batted in (49).

A senior, Comeaux, who garnered league honors for the second time in her career, hit .328 with 8 homers and 41 RBI's

Kara Gremillion was named to the the second team, after hitting  being tabbed first team for two-consecutive seasons, hitting a .333 with three homers, 29 RBI's, and 23 stolen bases.

A junior, Kara Gremillion was a first team All-Sun Belt Conference selection in 2017 and 2018.

Kourtney Gremillion makes the second team for the second-consecutive season.

A sophomore, Kourtney Gremillion hit .354, to go along with five homers and 30 RBI's.

Finally, O'Neal gets second team honors after hitting .331 with 9 homers and 32 RBI's in her debut season with the Cajuns.

A sophomore, O'Neal also stole 17 bases.

Glasco, who has now guided the Cajuns to a record of 87-20, picks up his first collegaite Coach of the Year honor in his second season at the helm.

The Cajuns were well-represented on the team, as expected, after going 47-4, overall, this season, including a perfect 25-0 league record.
