UL Football Recruit Dies Over Weekend
Some horrible news came about over the weekend, when it was learned that a high school football player that the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns had been recruiting heavily, tragically passed away.
Devin Winters, a defensive lineman from McDonogh 35 Senior High in New Orleans, had been pursued by both the staff of former Ragin’ Cajuns head coach Mark Hudspeth and the staff of new Cajuns head coach Billy Napier.
No others details on his death are known at this time.
The 6’4″, 245-pound Winters was a soft commitment to UL, but had a lot of big late offers.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Winters' family and friends in their time of grieving.
