Are the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns headed to a college football bowl game in The Lone Star State to face an old rival?

Well, at least one major media outlet seems to think so.

Erik Smith, of USA Today, projects Louisiana to play in the First Responders Bowl, which is scheduled for Wednesday, December 26 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas.

UL is currently 4-5 on the season, and need to win two of their final three games to become bowl-eligible.

Louisiana, who plays their next two games at home, is one game behind ULM for first place in the Sun Belt Conference West Division.

Louisiana Tech, a member of Conference USA, is currently 6-3.

Also of note; Smith and USA Today projects LSU to play in the Peach Bowl, against UCF, and they project their 4-team College Football Playoff Field as being Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, and Notre Dame.
