New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan (back) was in attendance during the early portion of Thursday's practice, but did not participate. Guard Jahri Evans did not participate either, and was not seen at the portion of practice open to the media.

Newly acquired tight end Michael Hoomanawanui was not at practice either.

Quarterback Drew Brees (shoulder), wide receiver Brandin Cooks, safety Jairus Byrd (knee), cornerback Keenan Lewis (hip) and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (toe) all practiced on a limited basis today.

Lewis stated earlier this week that he plans to play on Sunday.

Brees appeared on the Ellen Degeneres’ talk show today. When asked whether he'd play Sunday night against the Dallas Cowboys, Brees responded, "Yeah, I do. I’m very confident I will be able to. I practiced today, I feel good. So we’ll see how it progresses. But there’s not anything that’s gonna keep me off the field on Sunday.”

New Orleans (0-3) hosts Dallas (2-1) Sunday night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Kickoff is set for 7:30.
