The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns basketball team wanted to put the loss to Appalachian State behind them and find their stride against the Little Rock Trojans on the road. The Cajuns were able to get the road win as they pulled away late to defeat Little Rock 77-72.

The Cajuns got out to a quick 16-8 lead in the first half but they saw it dwindle down to 3 points at the second media timeout. The Trojans used a 15-2 run to help them get back in the game late in the 1st half and would ultimately take a 39-37 lead going into halftime. The Cajuns shot 41.2% while the Trojans shot 51.7% in the first half.

The Cajuns opened the first half with a 3 pointer to take a 40-39 lead and went cold for much of the 2nd half. The Cajuns would then find themselves slowly getting back into the game thanks to Cedric Russell who was on fire. He took over when Jakeenan Gant fouled out with just over 12 minutes left in the game. The Cajuns were able to take the lead for good at the 3:13 mark in the 2nd half. Russell would score a career high 34 points for the Cajuns in the victory.

The Cajuns will travel to Jonesboro on Saturday to face off against Arkansas State to finish off the regular season. After the game on Saturday they will find out where they will finish in the standings and who they will play in the conference tournament
