The LSU Tigers return to action on Tuesday evening, when coach Johnny Jones’ squad plays host to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in a non-conference match-up.

Tipoff time at the Maravich Center is set for 6 o’clock.

LSU, who defeated American, 79-51, last Tuesday night, is 7-4 on the young season, while Wake Forest, who lost to Xavier (Ohio), 78-70, last Tuesday, is currently 8-3.

The Tigers are outscoring the opposition, 84.9/76.1, and outshooting them from the floor, 48%/43%, while holding down a slim 39.5/39.4 edge in the rebounding department.

LSU is led by freshman forward Ben Simmons, who is averaging 19.1 points, to go along with 13.1 rebounds-per-game, and senior guard Keith Hornsby, who is averaging 17.3, and 2.3, respectively.

Wake Forest is outscoring opponents, 78.8/78.7, while outshooting the opposition, 45%/44%, and holding down a 40.5/35.2 rebounding advantage.

The Demon Deacons are paced by senior forward Devin Thomas, who is averaging 16.6 points, to go along with 10.5 rebounds contest.

This will only be the second meeting all-time between the two schools, with LSU winning the only previous meeting, 70-64, at the Sugar Bowl Tournament in New Orleans back in 1981.
