LSU Baseball Splits Doubleheader With South Carolina – Recap
The fourth-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team split an SEC doubleheader with the second-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks on Friday in Columbia, South Carolina, winning the opener, 5-2, before dropping the nightcap, 5-4.
In the opening game, Mason Katz and Jorday Snikeris both homered for the Tigers, who got a complete-game effort from sophomore right-hander Kevin Gausman, who notched his ninth victory in ten decision this years.

In the second game, the Gamecocks trailed 3-0, before scoring four runs in the home half of the sixth inning, and then hanging on for the 4-3 win.

With the split, LSU is now 41-14 overall, and 18-11 in SEC play, while South Carolina stands at 39-14 overall, and 18-10 in league play.
The two teams will square-off in the rubber game of the three-game series on Saturday at noon.
