The fourth-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team is at home for SEC action on Friday night, hosting the Vanderbilt Commodores, in the opening game of a three-game, conference series, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The Commodores will come into the series with an overall record of 24-24, with a 11-13 SEC mark, while the Tigers currently stand at 38-11 overall, and 16-8 in league play, which tops the western division.

In the series opener on Friday night, Vanderbilt is expected to throw sophomore right-hander T.J. Pecoraro, who is 0-3 on the year, with a 5.40 era., while LSU is expected to counter with sophomore right-hander Kevin Gausman, who is 7-1 on the season, with a 3.16 era.

Game times for the series are 7 o'clock on both Friday and Saturday nights, with a 1 o'clock first-pitch scheduled for the series finale on Sunday afternoon.
