LSU Baseball Falls To Ole Miss, 7-4 – Recap
The fourth-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team fell on the road in SEC action on Saturday, dropping a 7-4 decision to the Ole Miss Rebels in the middle game of a three-game series in Oxford, Mississippi.
Second baseman Jacoby Jones led the way for the Tigers in a losing cause at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI's.
Tanner Bailey (2-1) got the win for the Rebels, with Brett Huber recording his 8th save of the year, while Kirk McCune (2-4) suffered the loss for LSU.
With the win, Ole Miss improves to 31-17 overall, and 11-12 in SEC play, while LSU fell to 37-11 overall, and 15-8 in league play.
The rubber game of the series is set for Sunday at 1:30 pm.
