LSU Baseball Falls To Kentucky, 7-6 – Recap
The second-ranked Kentucky Wildcats won the rubber game of a three-game, weekend, SEC series on Sunday, in Lexington, Kentucky, defeating the top-ranked LSU Tigers, 7-6.
Outfielder Raph Rhymes paced the Tiger offensive attack in a losing cause, going 4-for-4, with a homer, two runs scored, and three RBI's.
Tum Peterson (3-0) got the win out of the bullpen for the Wildcats, with Alex Phillips recording his fourth save of the year, while Joey Bourgeois (1-2) suffered the loss for LSU.
With the win, Kentucky improved to 35-6 overall, and 13-5 in SEC play, while LSU fell to 32-9 overall, and 12-6 in league play.
