The third-ranked LSU Tiger baseball team is at home for SEC action on Friday night, playing host to the Alabama Crimson Tide, in the opening game of a three-game conference series at Alex Box Stadium.

The Tigers are 27-7 overall, and lead the SEC West, with an 8-4 league mark, while the Crimson Tide comes in at 13-20 overall, and 4-8 in league play.

Alabama is expected to throw junior right-hander Trey Pilkington (1-2, 3.51 era.) in the series opener on Friday night, while LSU is expected to counter with sophomore right-hander Kevin Gausman (5-1, 2.83 era.).

Game times are 7 o'clock on Friday night, 6:35 pm on Saturday night, and 12:05 pm on Sunday afternoon.
