Everybody in Cajun country knows Lamson Park is the best place in the world to see a college softball game, and the rest of the USA finally agreed.

Whenever you go to a game at Lamson Park, you get a lot more than softball. Clearly, the performance on the field is always top-notch, thanks to Mike Lotief and his incredible players, but the atmosphere is truly one of a kind.

Coach Lotief tried to describe the environment to The Advertiser's Kevin Foote.

“I don’t know if there’s anywhere else in the country where you can eat jambalaya, crawfish, red beans, drink beer, fresh peanuts and have people dancing to Cajun Zydeco music in the stands. It’s way more than just going to a softball game.”

To go one step farther, it's like one giant softball family gets together every weekend to throw a party and watch the game. It's not just a game, it's an experience.

The softball season kicks off from Lamson Park on February 10th, with the 31st annual Louisiana Classics tournament. As always, the seats will be packed and there will be fans dancing in the aisles. The "Party At Lamson" is about to return. Do you have your tickets yet?
