Coach Mark Hudspeth addressed the Media following Tuesday mornings practice in the Leon Moncla Indoor Facility. Coach Hud was impressed with his teams effort despite the heat and proud of the way his team has been able to put together two really good days of practice back-to-back.

Jordan Wright returned to the practice field Tuesday after missing the last several practices. Wright is expected to backup Elijah McGuire at running back. Hud also mention that senior tight end Nick Byrne was back from injury.

Continuing to build off of their five takeaway performance during Sunday's scrimmage, coach Hudspeth had more good things to say about the defense. Hudspeth noted that senior Otha Peters is the unquestioned leader of the defense and has even seen Otha's leadership crossover to the offensive side of the ball.

In the secondary, Hudspeth noted that he expects Travis Crawford and Denarius Howard to start with Artez Williams seeing some playing time as well. Howard and Williams each signed with the Cajuns in February out of junior college.

While the Cajuns are done practicing for the day, Louisiana's work is far from done for the day. The team will bus to Youngsville later this afternoon where they will help residents who have been impacted by last weeks devastating floods. In addition to lending a hand to their fellow neighbors, coach Hud thinks the time spent pulling up carpeting or moving furniture will create a bonding experience away from football for his ball club.
