Cajuns Hope to Ride Waves in Malibu
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have one last chance to get a road win before conference play starts in earnest when they take on Pepperdine (6-4) Friday night at the Firestone FIeldhouse (3,100) in Malibu.
Tipoff is scheduled for 9:00pm. Steve Peloquin has the call on ESPN1420 and Hot 107.9 (espn1420.com; 1079ishot.com) beginning at 8:30.
The Cajuns (3-5, 0-1 Sun Belt) are 0-5 away from the Cajundome this year. They are coming off an 89-80 loss to #22 UCLA Tuesday night at Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles.
The Waves have won four in a row, winning twice at home (Montana, Long Beach State) and twice on the road (CSU-Northridge, Ball State). This is the final non conference game for the Waves, who travel to Gonzaga to open West Coast Conference play Monday night. Pepperdine is picked third in the WCC this year.
