Cajuns Back Home to Entertain Troy
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will play their first home conference series of the season beginning tonight when they entertain the Troy Trojans in the first of a three game series at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
The Cajuns (9-11, 1-2 Sun Belt) are coming off a 5-2 win over McNeese State Wednesday night in Lake Charles. Louisiana outhit the Cowboys 8-5, jumping out to an early 4-0 lead and riding the pitching of freshman Austin Perrin and two relievers to the win.
They'll face one of the league's best in the Trojans, who have accumulated a 14-7 overall record despite dropping two of three games last weekend at home against Little Rock. Preseason Pitcher of the Year Andrew Crane (2-2, 4.33) will get the ball tonight for Troy. Nick Lee (1-1, 2.60) will be the starting pitcher for the Cajuns. Troy has been a balanced club this season, ranking second in the league in hitting, third in pitching and second in defense.
