
Appalachian State #25 in AP Poll, LSU up to #4
The Mountaineers of Appalachian State are ranked.
App State, which defeated Louisiana 27-17 yesterday, has moved into the AP Top 25 in the new poll released Sunday. They barely missed moving into the Amway Coaches' Poll, ranked #26.
Meanwhile, LSU is set for its showdown with #1 Alabama. The Tigers moved into the #4 spot in both the AP and Coaches' Poll.
Ohio State, which suffered a drubbing at the hands of Purdue, dropped to #11 in the AP and #9 in the Amway.
The top five in both polls are the same, with Alabama #1, followed by Clemson, Notre Dame, LSU and Michigan. The AP has Texas #6, followed by Georgia, Oklahoma, Florida and UCF. The coaches' poll has Georgia at #6, followed by Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio State and UCF.
Appalachian State (5-1) travels to Georgia Southern (6-1) in a game of arch-rivals this Thursday on ESPNU.
