Brandon Young allowed just one baserunner over six innings and fanned ten and his teammates backed him with a 17 hit attack as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns defeated Georgia State for the second straight night, 16-6, at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park Saturday night.

Young (3-5) allowed a second inning home run to Brandon Bell, but then retired the last 15 batters he faced.  He did not walk a batter and struck out 10.  By the time the seventh inning rolled around, the Cajuns led 14-1.

Hunter Kasuls had three hits, including a grand slam home run to lead the Cajuns' 17 hit attack.  Handsome Monica and Brennan Breaux also had three hits in the contest, with Breaux hitting his third home run of the year.  Seven of the Cajuns' hits went for extra bases, with Hayden Cantrelle also hitting a homer for the Cajuns (24-28, 12-14 Sun Belt).

Orynn Veillon had an RBI double in the sixth inning to increase his hitting streak to 16 games, while Daniel Lahare had a pair of hits and has now hit safely in ten straight games.

Jake Corso had two hits and drove in a pair of runs late for the Panthers (14-37, 5-21).  Tyler Koch (0-4) took the loss for Georgia State, giving up seven hits and five runs in 3.1 innings of work.

The final home game of the season will be Sunday morning at 11:00 am.  The seven Cajuns' seniors will be honored before the game and the mothers of all the players will be on hand to throw out the first pitch.
