Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team swept a Sun Belt Conference doubleheader from the North Texas Mean Green on Saturday, in Denton, Texas, winning the first game, 10-0, before winning game two, 8-2.

In the opener, shortstop Nerissa Myers, playing in her first game since February, led off the game with a solo home run, giving Louisiana a quick 1-0 lead.

In the same inning, first baseman Matte Haack belted a two-run home run, making the score, 3-0.

After the Cajuns scored single runs in both the second and third innings, to extend their lead to 5-0, Haack and Myers both homered again, in a five-run UL fifth inning, with Haack hitting a solo homer, and Myers blasting a grand slam homer, to account for the five runs.

Louisiana went on to win the opener, in five-inning, mercy-rule style, 10-0.

Myers and Haack each had three hits, and two home runs apiece, with Myers driving home six runs, and Haack three.

Sara Corbello also collected two hits.

Jordan Wallace (14-6) picked up the win, pitching four innings of one-hit softball, striking out 10, while Brittany Simmons suffered the loss for North Texas.

Landry, along with Samantha Walsh, and Natalie Fernandez all had three hits in the second game, with Draheim, Myers, and Landry providing the long balls.

Freshman Victoria Brown (6-1) recorded the win in the circle, with Wallace earning her first save of the year, while Ashley Kirk (8-6) suffered the loss for the Mean Green.
