UL Softball Defeats Arizona St., 9-2

The 10th-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajun softball team kept their 2012 record spotless, by defeating the 5th-ranked Arizona St. Sun Devils, 9-2, on Friday, in the Judi Garman Classic in Fullerton, California.

Freshman right-hander Jordan Wallace (12-0) got the win for UL, while sophomore right-hander Dallas Escobedo (9-2) suffered the loss for the defending national champs.

With the win, Louisiana moved to 24-0 on the year, while Arizona St. dropped to 26-3.

The Cajuns will play twice on Friday, taking on Penn St at 1 pm, and Fresno St. at 5:30 pm.
