The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns have upset the three seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, UT-Arlington Lady Mavericks, 54-48. They're headed for a date with Texas State in the Semifinals on Saturday.

Troi Swain lead the way with 20 points, seven rebounds and Skyler Goodwin poured in 15 to account for the majority of UL's scoring.

For the Mavericks, Rebekah VanDijk did her best but tired towards the end of the game. She put in 18 points to lead the Lady Mavs to go along with 10 rebounds.

The Cajuns started off this game on the right foot, in the first quarter it was Troi Swain who lead the way with seven points in the first quarter, UL held the lead 16-11.

In the second quarter it was a bit of a defensive struggle as neither team could do much offensively and as we headed to halftime it was 25-23 in favor of the Ragin' Cajuns.

You would expect nothing less than a closely contested game from these two teams and half way through that's exactly what we were getting.

As we played into the 3rd quarter it was Skyler Goodwin who poured in five points for the Cajuns as the Mavericks turned the ball over five times in the quarter. Both teams would put in 13 points in the quarter.

The fourth quarter rolled around and the Cajuns kept pressing forward, they managed just one field goal in the final quarter. However, their saving grace was 14-18 from the foul line and they were able to hang on to a 54-48 win.

The Cajuns play Texas State on Saturday at 7:30pm with the chance to play for a Conference Championship on the line.
