Ragin’ Cajuns Introduce Matt Deggs As New Baseball Coach [VIDEO]

Emotions ran high on Thursday morning as the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Athletics ushered in a new era in Ragin' Cajuns Baseball with the introduction of new head baseball coach Matt Deggs.

Dr. Bryan Maggard had an extremely difficult job trying to find a person to pass the torch Tony Robichaux lit here at UL and he struggled to get through his opening statement.

It was incredibly touching and meaningful to see the Robichaux family at the press conference for coach Deggs as well.

Here's what Matt Deggs had to say addressing Cajun Nation and honoring his mentor and friend Tony Robichaux.
