For John Brady, it's one more chance.

For Louisiana, it's a chance at nine in a row.

Louisiana (13-8, 9-3 Sun Belt) hosts Arkansas State (11-2, 7-5) in a key Sun Belt Conference game at the Cajundome Thursday night.

Brady recently won his 400th career game, achieved at Samford, LSU and Arkansas State.  But Brady, who has announced his resignation effective at the end of the year, would like to add something else to his resume.

Brady has never won a game at the Cajundome.

He is 0-1 with Samford, 0-6 with Arkansas State.

It's the second meeting between the two schools.  The Red Wolves earned a 71-69 win at the Convocation Center in Jonesboro when Sean Gardner converted a three point play with seven seconds remaining.

In that game, Devin Carter scored 25 points for A-State while Donte Thomas added 20 and Gardner chipped in 13.

Shawn Long had 25 points and 15 rebounds for Louisiana, but was the only Cajun in double figures in that game.  Long could achieve another personal milestone during this two game homestand as he sits just 22 points behind former All-American Marvin Winkler (2,128) for fourth place on the all time UL scoring list.  Long passed the 1,300 mark in career rebounds in the Cajuns' last outing at Appalachian State.
