Five Cajuns Drafted on Final Day

Five Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, including one signee have been drafted  in the third day of the Major League Baseball Draft.

OF Steven Sensley was taken by the New York Yankees in the 12th round, while Cajun RHP Wyatt Marks was taken by Oakland in the 13th round.  RHP Evan Guillory was selected in the 23rd round by St. Louis.

Meanwhile, Cajuns' LHP Gunner Leger has announced he will return for his senior season.  Leger tweeted opportunities in rounds 7-9 were not enough to forego a final season with Cajun nation.  Despite the statement, Miami drafted him in the 26th round. Leger later reiterated he'd be returning for his final season.

Shortstop Hayden Cantrelle was drafted in the 40th and final round by the New York Yankees.  Cantrelle fell because of signability issues and is expected to attend school.
