Here in Louisiana, we do everything a little differently than the rest of the country. This includes our 4th of July celebrations. Harrah's Louisiana Downs in Bossier is getting national news exposure right now for their 4th of July Camel Races. See, it's things like this that make me certain I never want to move away from Louisiana.

For 4th of July, racing fans at Harrah's Louisiana Downs were treated to camel races. Jockeys hopped on these humped bad boys and took off down the track as you'll see in the video below.

Oh, they also had ostrich races. Did you know an adult ostrich can run up to 43 mph?

This winner of the 2017 camel race was A Bump In The Hump with jockey Abel Quevedo!

Sadly, this is the first I've heard of the camel races. I had Fox News on in the control room and saw them running video of it and was all like "Whaaaat?"
