Derek Holland Expected To Miss Half Of 2014 Season With Knee Injury – VIDEO

The Texas Rangers will be without starting pitcher Derek Holland for at least half of the 2014 Major League Baseball season, following an accident at his home, in which he tore the meniscus in his left knee.

Holland recently attributed the accident to his dog.

The 26-year old Holland went 10-9 a season ago, with a 3.42 ERA., and is 49-38, with a 4.38 ERA. in six Major League Baseball seasons, all with the Rangers.

With Holland out, Tanner Scheppers may fill the void in the starting rotation.
