Austin Robichaux went over 20 innings without giving up a run in the minor leagues. He's not just "Coach Robe's Son" anymore.

Aut is tearing it up on the mound for the Burlington Bees. How does 24.2 scoreless innings sound? Pretty good to professional baseball scouts. With his 6'5" frame and ability to take on coaching since birth, the sky is the limit for the Los Angeles Angels' pitching prospect.

He got rouged up a little bit in his last outing, only lasting four innings and getting knocked around for seven hits and five earned runs. That stuff will happen though. What's more important is the stretch that preceded it. In his four starts from June 14th to July 1st, Aut only allowed one earned run through 25.2 innings of work. The stats get more wicked though. Just wait.

In those 25.2 innings of work, Robichaux sent 22 batters back to the dugout with a K on their chest. Strikeout numbers like that get attention. What gets more attention? Only two walks in that same time span. Not much more you can ask from a starting pitcher. The key will be how he bounces back from his most recent bump in the road.

His ERA sits at 3.42 for the Bees, but it's an impressive 2.86 over his last ten games. Numbers like that lead to call-ups. Call-ups lead to happy Cajuns.

Robichaux is starting to appear on prospect hot lists, which is always a good sign. People only talk about you if your stock is on the rise or fall. Aut's is most decidedly on the up and up.
