Louisiana head coach Mark Hudspeth spoke to media following his teams practice Thursday morning. Coach Hud was especially pleased with the effort and execution he saw out of the Cajun defense. He noted the defenses ability to get after the offense during the squads third down period.

Coach Hud also highlighted his special teams unit. He likes the way the unit is coming together and has a handle on who his kick and punt returners will be when Louisiana welcomes Boise State to Cajun Field on September 3rd.

The practice was just the first of the day, as the team will hit the practice field later on this evening for the final two-a-day of fall camp. Following tonight's practice, the Cajuns will workout once more Friday before Saturday's scrimmage at Cajun Field. The scrimmage will close out fall camp, with classes scheduled to begin Monday.

Coach Hudspeth plans to use the scrimmage to a finial gauge to see which young guys will be ready to see playing time during the first week of the season. Hudspeth also noted that he will know who the starting quarterback will be after Saturday's scrimmage.
