At least one member of the New Orleans Saints seems awfully excited about an old teammate returning.

It's probably safe to assume everyone in the organization is excited to have Watson, who played for the Saints for three seasons, 2013-2015, back in the fold, as he's not only a quality tight end, but a first-class individual.

As for Watson, he let everyone know he was excited about his second go-round with the Saints.

The 37-year old Watson, who missed all of 2016 with a torn Achilles tendon, compiled 61 catches for 522 yards and four touchdowns last season with the Baltimore Ravens.

If the Saints get anywhere near that type of production from Watson next season, the deal will be more than worth it.

Keep in mind; last season, the Saints' three tight ends, Coby Fleener, Josh Hill, and Michael Hoomanawanui combined for 44 receptions for 472 yards and 4 touchdowns.

The 6-foot-3, 251-pound Watson put together a career year in his final season in New Orleans in 2015, totaling 74 catches for 825 yards and six touchdowns.

A 2004 first-round pick by New England out of Georgia, Watson spent six seasons with the Patriots (2004-09), before moving on to the Cleveland Browns (2010-12), the Saints, and the Baltimore Ravens (2016-17).

One of the three finalists for the 2018 Walter Payton Man of The Year Award, Watson has appeared in 179 games over his career, including 131 starts, totaling 495 catches for 5,485 yards and 42 touchdowns.

Watson joins cornerback Patrick Robinson and offensive lineman Jermon Bushrod as former members of the Saints who have rejoined the team this offseason.
