Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun softball team captured a 5-4 victory over the National Pro Fastpitch All-Stars, on Saturday night, at Lamson Park.

The exhibition game was part of the NPF Back To School Tour, and was only the third loss in 57 games that the NPF All-Stars have suffered in a three-year span, covering 57 games.

Louisiana senior shortstop Nerissa Myers delivered a clutch, two-run double in the bottom half of the sixth inning, to lift the Cajuns to the come-from-behind win.

Freshman outfielder Sara Corbello helped out at the plate, blasting a two-run homer in the bottom half of the first inning.

Sophomore pitcher Jordan Wallace picked up the win in the circle, allowing 8 hits and four runs, while walking eight, and striking out four, in seven innings of work.

Hillary Bach, who defeated the Cajuns in Super Regional action last season while pitching for Arizona St. suffered the loss, allowing five hits, along with four runs, over five innings.

1,285 people, the largest home crowd in UL fall ball history, were on hand to watch the big win.

The Cajuns return to fall ball action on Wednesday, when they host LSU-Eunice, at 4:30 pm, at Lamson Park, before hosting Nicholls St. next Saturday, October 27, at 2 pm.
