Cajuns Place Nine on All Sun Belt Team
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns are headed to their second bowl game in as many seasons after finishing tied for second place with a 6-2 record, 8-4 overall.
Today, the Cajuns were rewarded, as nine players were named to the All Sun Belt team, voted on by the league's coaches and selected media members.
Named to the first team were senior defensive lineman Emeka Onyenekwu and defensive back Jemarlous Moten, along with Brett Baer, who was named to the first team as both a kicker and punter.
Named to the second team were offensive linemen Leonardo Bates and Andre Huval, along with wide receiver Harry Peoples.
Quarterback Terrance Broadway and offensive lineman Jaron Odom were named Honorable Mention.
Arkansas State's Ryan Aplin was named the Player of the Year for the second consecutive year. ULM's Kolton Browning was named Offensive Player of the Year, while WKU defensive end Quanterus Smith was named the Defensive Player of the year.
Freshman of the Year honors went to WR J. D. McKissick of Arkansas State. ULM's Todd Berry was named Coach of the Year.
