The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will try to snap a four game losing streak tonight when they face Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond.  First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 at Pat Kennely Diamond at Alumni Field.

Louisiana (1-6) is coming off a three game sweep at the hands of Sam Houston State in Huntsville, TX over the weekend.  In that series, the Cajuns allowed 25 runs, with 21 of them coming in the seventh inning or later.

Head Coach Tony Robichaux has named sophomore lefty Brock Batty (0-0, 2.08) as his starting pitcher, but plans to throw several arms as he tries to get some pitchers on track.  Batty has allowed four hits and one run in 4.1 innings of work.  He has walked five and struck out six, allowing one home run.

Southeastern (2-5) will send Trey Schaffer (0-0, 6.00) to the hill for his second start.  Schaffer has allowed six hits and four earned runs in six innings of work.  He has walked two and struck out five.

Southeastern comes into the game hitting .293 as a team.  The Lions have scored 51 runs while allowing 55.  SLU defeated Stony Brook two games to one over the weekend.  The Lions carry a 6.82 ERA into tonight's contest.

The Cajuns, meanwhile, have scored 31 runs while allowing 43.  They are hitting .258 as a team with a 5.08 ERA.

This game wraps up a five game road swing for Louisiana, with the Cajuns returning home Friday night to take on Maryland in a three game series at M. L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.

Tonight's game can be heard on ESPN1420 with pre game beginning at 5:30.
