Two nationally televised games and contests against Southeastern Conference powers Texas A&M and Ole Miss highlight the 2017 Ragin' Cajuns football schedule announced today by the conference office.

The Cajuns will open at home September 2 against in-state foe Southeastern Louisiana before hitting the road for a pair of non conference games at Tulsa of the American Conference and Texas A&M.

The Cajuns open league play on September 23 against long time rival ULM before an open date on September 30.

Following an October 7 game at Idaho, the Cajuns will host Texas State Oct. 12th in the first of two consecutive Thursday night games on ESPNU.  The following Thursday, the Cajuns travel to arch-rival Arkansas State.

The Cajuns will have consecutive Saturdays off on Oct 21 and 28 before a November 4th date at South Alabama, followed by the road game at Ole Miss. (The Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team will open their season at Ole Miss the preceding night, November 10.) Louisiana returns home for their first Saturday game since September 23 when they play host to New Mexico State and Georgia Southern November 18 and 25 respectively.  The Cajuns close the season at Appalachian State on December 2.

Season ticket renewals are now available by calling the Cajundome box office or on line at ragincajuns.com.  Deadline for renewals is April 17.
